UPCOMING PLEASANT STREET CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY.
WALNUT STREET CLOSURE
Walnut Street is temporarily closed between 8th Street & 9th Street. Construction crews are reconstructing this road and installing new storm sewer infrastructure for what will be a portion of the Midland Trace trail. Residents may continue to access their homes via alley access or 9th Street.
RIVER ROAD CONSTRUCTION
There will be temporary traffic restrictions along River Road between Westridge N Drive and Westbrook Boulevard as crews begin to build the new roundabout for the intersection with Pleasant Street. Traffic will be shifted as temporary pavement is added and the roundabout is constructed. This work will last approximately five months.
CHERRY TREE ROAD
Cherry Tree Road is now closed as crews begin construction of the new Pleasant Street and bridge over Cicero Creek. During construction, residents who live on Cherry Tree Road will still have access to their homes. When construction is complete, Cherry Tree Road north of Pleasant Street will have a cul-de-sac. Cherry Tree Road south of Pleasant Street will have access to the new road with a “right-in/right-out/left-in” configuration as shown below. We are working with public safety officials and local school leaders to raise awareness about this change.

RECONSTRUCTING SR 32
Construction has begun on the Reconstructing SR 32 project at the 16th Street intersection.
ALLISONVILLE ROAD AND 146TH STREET
Allisonville Road is now closed between 146th Street and Kensington Drive and between 146th Street and Helmsley Court. Property owners within the closure limits will have still have access to their property. During this time, 146th Street will remain open to all through traffic.
LITTLE CHICAGO ROAD PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE
The Little Chicago Road pedestrian bridge will have temporary signals and closures beginning this month. Crews will be widening the bridge and rehabilitating the existing structure.
